John Watson joins Merlin

John Watson has joined Merlin Claims as Director of Contractor Services. John’s appointment further cements the company’s plan to deliver a Total Claims Management Solution – its recently launched end-to-end claims management service from first notification of loss to contractor fulfilment.
John has considerable experience in the UK building and maintenance market. He started his career as a quantity surveyor with HAT Group before moving to MITIE Property Services Scotland as Commercial Director. Prior to joining Merlin, John led national operations for Rok Maintenance for seven years.
In his new role, John is responsible for the launch of Merlin’s fulfilment service, which is an integral part of Merlin’s Total Claims Management Solution. “Merlin already has a well established and high quality contractor fulfilment offering in place,” John explains, “but it is continually looking at ways to improve the claims journey for the insurer’s customers whilst also providing a guaranteed cost effective overall claims solution. Operational management is my specialist area and I am excited at the prospect of further developing our fulfilment offering.
